Wonderfully Yummy!,

This is a great cookbook for mochi enthusiasts! I LOVE this book. I have made the blueberry and strawberry mochi from this book. Some recipes are time consuming and some are super easy. Just depends on what kind of challenge you are up for. The reward is a yummy mochi concotion! So ONO!

The recipes in this book are easy to understand and follow. They offer many classic recipes (daifuku, dango, anko mochi, etc.) as well as many twists (strawberry mochi, etc.) I've made strawberry mochi from this book a few times for Japanese people and they love it. Fun to make fun to eat!

Also disappointing. I had also bought Taste and Flavors of Mochi only to find Hawaii's Best Mochi Recipes is an abridged version of it. No pictures, no tips, no hints. Cover has no corresponding recipes. Recipes just list ingredients with a few lines of instruction.

This is a wonderful addition for any local Hawaiian who has been transplanted to another locale and wants to a taste of home.

This is probably a decent book if you like Hawaiian mochi. There are recipes for cakes made with mochiko (mochi flour) and lots of non-Japanese preparations.
The recipes are not like Japanese mochi and there is no discussion of the Japanese mochi making ingredients. Since I like Japanese mochi this was not the book for me!

It is a very boring book. It has very limited pictures to show the final results. The book provides only couple lines of routines and materials needed. It does not give readers any pictures to show the steps. It leaves readers to fancy what the final results will look like.

The mochi cook book is excellent. I already made a few dishes and shared them at work. They loved the blueberry mochi and the poi mochi and they were both easy to make in a short amount of time. If you are from Hawaii you will love this book.
