5.0 out of 5 stars What a shame to be OOP

3.0 out of 5 stars Hawk

As is typical with much of Crews' writing, the characters are harsh but endearing, the landscapes bleak but strangely familiar, and the wordplay grim but hopeful. It's tragic that the only place one might find this is tucked away in an old library (or here for a ridiculous price). Check out a copy, or borrow one, but read this book! And, for the love of all that is good and sacred, skip the awful film version that slaughtered everything amazing about the novel.
