This review is from: Hawke: Ride With The Devil (Kindle Edition)
I bought this book originally thinking that it was going to be based on the movie "ride with the devil" staring Tobey Maguire, but a chapter into the novel did I realise that this was not the case... not to worry however I enjoyed it immensely.
Another enjoyable gunslinger novel I've happened upon is the `The Dark Tower' - by Stephen King. Why not try them both? :)

This review is from: Hawke: Ride With the Devil (Hawke (HarperTorch Paperback)) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was the second Robert Vaughan "Hawke" book I read this year. I enjoyed both. They are fun reading -- nice and short with great characters - Hawke is a little bit of a superman (but only during a fight) otherwise the characters behave like real people so it is easy to identify with them. Also, good historic context - concerning the lives of civil war veterans.
