This book provides a good insight of the political drama inside the Hawke Government, describing the effects over Australia of the most powerful combination in modern Australian Politics: Bob Hawke and Paul Keating. It gives us a clear idea of the fight for power between these two men, who, for better or worse, changed Australia's place in the world. Stephen Mills accurately discusses how this incredible man won four elections in a row for Labour, and yet was dumped by his ungrateful caucus
