Uses previously unpublished information to present a well-researched history of one of the most elegant jet fighters of its era. Well researched and richly illustrated with many photographs of the Hunters in action. The book traces its intro to Fighter Command to action in Indonesia in the 1960s and against Yemen-backed tribesmen in the Middle East. Also covered are detailed accounts of the Indo-pakistan wars of 1965 and 1971 where Indian Air Force Hunters operated against Pakistan's F-86, MiG-19 and Mirage jets. Mr. Jackson provides coverage of Hunter operations with every other air force to use the type- Oman, Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, Switzerland and many others. Updated with information about Hunters still operating as of publication in 1989.
