The FR24 provides two WAN ports to keep you connected in case one of the connections goes down. The FR24 is designed with the advanced Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall technology to prevent Denial of Service (DoS) attacks such as Ping of Death/Teardrop, SYN Flood/LAND Attack, Smurf Attack, IP Spoofing, Port Scan, etc. from outside intruders. It also provides Internet content filtering capability (URL or URL keywords) that allows parents to be worry-free about kids surfing on the net. The Logs and Alert features will audit browsing activities and notify you immediately via email when your network is attacked. The VPN (Virtual Private Network) Pass-through feature allows you to have fast, reliable and secure access to your corporate network via a public Internet network.

The FR24 is packed with features. It utilizes Dynamic NAT (Network Address Translation) to expand your existing network without affecting existing IP schemes. This router not only works with the most always-on and PPPoE (Point-to-Point Over Ethernet Protocol) DSL connections but also with Cable Modem Connections. It is designed with a high performance processor and an integrated 4-port 10/100M auto-sensing, auto-crossover switch that allows you to have up to 254 users on a single ISP user account to reduce your total network cost. It also supports DMZ (De-Military Zone) Host and Port Mapping technology to allow you to host Web, Email and FTP servers.

And that's not all. The FR24 has a built-in DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Server for your LAN and DHCP Client for your WAN. Therefore there is no need to configure each IP address. Managing the FR24 is simple as well. The Web-based management makes it easy to configure from anywhere using a web browser. This Router can easily be firmware upgraded using your Web Browser or TFTP. These guys have a long way to go. The documentation is poor, the product has many inconsistencies and is fraught with typos embedded in the interface. Stay away until they get their act together.

On the plus side, they did call me back fairly promptly from tech support, but alas, not with the answers I needed to hear.

I do not recommend this dual wan router. The advanced features tend not to work as advertised. If you want something cheap that will switch over to a second WAN this is it.
Load balancing locks up your browser, it does not double your throughput. DMZ ends up not being able to ping or do anything. Yes, I upgraded the firmware to the latest level.
I think there will be a big need for people who must always have internet on even if one provide drops out, unfortunately this router is not it.
I used a peplink balance 200 it worked wonderfully, this router is a constant frustration.
