2.0 out of 5 stars Defective Cams and Parts not Fitting Correctly Made for Lousy Assembly, April 28, 2010
My dad and I just put this thing together yesterday, and it was not a joyous experience. The instructions were awful, unclear and sometimes ambiguous, and left us wondering on more that one occasion if we were using the correct "letter bag" for parts (I believe the bags with different parts in them ranged from "A" to "M"). The drawers do not slide in and out well, and even when they are all the way pushed in, you can tell that they do not match up flush with the exterior of the cabinet.

The worst part is that the cam-lock system has defective pieces (even some of the screws that came with the unit were defective). The unit is now completely put together, but because of a problem with one of the cam-locks that are used to secure two large panels together, the top of the unit and the left-hand door are loose, and you cannot pick the unit up by that corner.

It doesn't look bad now that it's done, but we both know it should have been better. I agree with the previous reviewer... try IKEA or perhaps a local unfinished wood furniture store before you actually purchase this. The unfinished firniture store we've used several times has much better quality pieces, and you rarely have to assemble a thing. If you stain it yourself, you might make it compare with anything you see on Amazon.

In short, I wouldn't recommend this purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, hard to put together, April 27, 2010

I am disappointed in this tv stand. It was hard to assemble as pieces did not fit together. One side is completely unstable because the bolts would not screw into the holes. The drawers are awkward to open - you have to really pull on them to get them to slide open; I hope they become easier with use. I have put together many ready-to-assemble pieces of furniture and this is one of the worst. Don't bother with this tv stand - it is not worth the price. Try Ikea instead.
