About the Author

Leslie Ann Hayashi serves as a district court judge in Honolulu, where she lives with her husband and two sons. Kathleen Wong Bishop resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband and three children. She is an education coordinator at Shepherd of the Hills Church.

Animals and plants from a Hawaiian garden teach morals (i.e. appreciate differences, vanity is harmful, sharing is good for your soul). Beautiful full-page illustrations of lush gardens. Note section includes scientific information about the plants and animals. An attractive art book that uses humor and poetry to teach lessons for living. Adults and children will enjoy this book!

Luscious illustrations. Engaging stories, with fun characters and playful dialogue. Meaningful lessons about life at each story's conclusion. And it has educational information about plants and animals. I enjoy it as much as my children. We highly recommend this book.
