I really enjoyed these sonatas. Haydn's imagination is unbounded, and these performances sound great. I also owned a set of complete sonatas on the brilliant classics label, played on a pianoforte (van oort). They may be more authentic, but the sound was too brittle for me and the pace often seemed frantic. I prefer these by far.
