Wonderful live recording of the production by Carter Family Marionettes (whose puppets are seen on the cover). This marionette opera has been staged at Northwest Puppet Center in Seattle and The Sanssouci Palace Theater in Potsdam (where recorded).

Unsure when "Die Feuersbrunst" (The Burning House) will return to the stage but different marionette operas are presented every Spring in Seattle. Attending a performance with live music and live singers is highly recommended!

THIS IS REALLY GOOD NEWS.....THE MARIONETTE THEATERS ALL OVER THE WORLD HAVE NOW A FIRST CLASS OPERA , CHARMING , DELICIOUS AND FULL OF INVENTIVNESS TO STAGE WITH-NO DOUBT-THE SAME SUCCESS IT GOT IN HAYDN'S TIME!!!!!!!!!IT IS FULL OF FUNNY SITUATIONS AS WELL AS MOVING ARIAS THAT ONLY THE GENIAL HAYDN COULD INCLUDE IN AN OPERA FOR MARIONETTES!!! BUY IT AND YOU'LL BE SURPRISED!!!!!!!!!
