This is one of the jewels of my CD collection. I'm not a particular fan of oratorios or cantatas, but I think I know beautifully balanced orchestral and choral sounds, superb soloists (especially Annegeer Stumphius!) and wonderful reproduction when I hear them. There are more recent recordings out there of The Seasons, with bigger names attached, but you absolutely can't go wrong with this one. A treasure.
