The old system board was about 6 years old. It started to display "Cell Power Error". Some discussion boards suggested replacing a relay, which did not resolve the problem. I ended up replacing the system board. The new board has a newer software. Amazon has the cheapest price. I received the board in about 5 days. The box came with complete instructions and new wires. It took me about half an hour to replace the board. It has been running for about a month now.

Completely satisfied, and highly recommend this solution for the "Cell Power Error".

Much cheaper than your local dealer. Instuctions were easy to understand and the only point of potential confusion was easily cleared up by customer support. The only thing missing was the the un-install of the previous board. Plastic lock in pins were included on the new board.
Wiring was a breeze! Working great!

It installed in just a few minutes. Instructions tell you about half way through to set the settings the same as the old board. By the time I read them the new board was in and too late to get the old settings. Probably my fault as I should have read the whole thing before starting.

I received my new replacement board as promised. I installed it. If anyone is suffering from the connection burning out like I was it seems this board is more robust. The wiring and a few other things were changed on this from my original which make it more "industrial". I have had it for over a month now and it has been working flawlessly.

After our pool system failed with the dreaded "NO CELL POWER" fault, I decided to debug the board. I found extensive heat-related damage such as: PCB track burnt off the board with smoke damage, big caps that were swollen, melted relay, etc.... So after remembering the Local Display was replaced under warranty, also because of heat damage, I decided the best course of action was to completely replace the Main Board and fix the heat problem. The new Main Board replacement was very well documented, but I didn't find the worksheet to write down all the settings from the original board. Anyway I wrote down 2 pages of notes on those settings, replaced the Main Board and reprogrammed it. First time I turned it ON BINGO, CELL POWER WAS GOOD! After a few days, our chlorine levels were approaching normal according to our local pool store. Next I drilled a 2" vent hole in the upper right side of the box, next to the big, HOT transformer and opened up the bottom knockouts. Little pieces of screen should keep the bugs out. Then I shaded the box and wall which faced the west. I suspect this westerly orientation to be the REAL reason the unit failed to begin with due to heat. Finally I called up Hayward to discuss what I had found, but their "customer service" didn't want to talk to me so I just repeated some of this information and they just hung up without a word. Perhaps Hayward has outsourced their customer service... come to think of it... she did sound like "Peggy"!

Easy Intall - but do read and follow the instructions
All Parts Necessary Included

Only tool needed is a screwdriver

Complete Operating Manual would be helpful as an
Addendum is included but changes to many of the pages
make it a slow read now

The Hayward GLX-PCB-Main board for all Hayward Goldline Aqua Logic Automation and Chlorination systems was a breeze to install as was stated. This is an updated board with heavier guage wires to handle the amperage. If you have the older board and it goes out it would be wise to update to this newer board for longer life.

I found the circuit board easy to install. It worked perfectly when powered. It took longer to program than to install.
