This is my 3rd one in 5 years. The top gets very difficult to open and eventually the product cracks around the hose connections. I have tried every recommendation to get them to open easier but none of the ideas have worked. The "o" rings must be expanding. Either way, the product does not last long but it does work great.

Put in 3" chlorine tablet which barely fits in this tiny unit. Tablet turned to mush and clogged the unit, never worked. I threw it away after a month of it doing nothing. I am going back to manually putting in granulated chlorine. If I do ever decide to try a chlorinator again, it will be a much larger unit. This one is junk.
