i love my hayward sand filter and pump. when the pump and filter that came with my pool died i began shopping around for a new one. In my ignorance I did not realize how poorly my original pump and filter worked. I was continually vacuuming and i added hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of chemicals to my pool this year. I was adding 2-3 bags of shock every few days, along with anywhere from 10-15 chlorine tabs and 1/2 jug of algecide. Even so, my pool was never truly clean. If my kids and grandkids didn't love the pool so much i would have been tempted to just slit it open and have done with it. I was spending a fortune, working myself to death, not enjoying the pool, and growing more resentful by the day. I know it sounds cheesy but getting the hayward sand pump and filter changed my life. Now i vacuum... maybe once a week, add 4 one inch chlorine tablets every couple of days and a weekly pkg of shock, if it has been really hot or rainy i might add a cup of algecide. the water is crystal clear! now i love my pool too! Too bad it is almost time to put the pool to bed for the winter. At least i know next year i can more easily afford the chemicals, AND best of all I'll get to enjoy it not just clean it!

I ordered this product, and am so glad I did! My pool water cleared up within 3 to 4 days after it was put into use. From deep green, to sparkling clear! It is very easy to set up & operate. It even qualified (at the time)for free shipping, and this is a large item. I recommend this for anyone who is in need of a great system for their pool.

Love this pump/filter combo. We should have gotten one years ago. All of the time, water, and money wasted on those filters with the pleats that you have to spray out. Not to mention the pumps that were manufactured to be disposable! Never again! This filter is so easy to use and it has a powerful pump that really circulates the water. When I unpacked it my husband looked at all of the components and walked away a little overwhelmed. So I sat down and put it together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The connectors were packed in separate bags so there was no confusing which clamp went with each end piece. The filter is easy to use and a breeze to clean (backwash). This pump/filter looks solid and will probably out last the pool!

Works Great!
I use this in my Koi pond and it keeps it super clear, it is amazing what you see when you backflush it and see all that silt and dirt it removed from the pond.
