First and foremost, this is a text, and it is a very good text. It is a good fit for an associate degree program that includes the study of hazard mitigation and preparedness. There are in-text learning aids and online pre and post tests for the students. It comes with a ton of instructor support material that conveniently remains in an always online site provided by the publisher; not the least of which is voluminous test bank. In addition, the book is great for those who would like to begin an independent study of the subject.
