One of my heroes said, The devil wouldn t be the devil if he didn t muddy the water at the source. The devil has sought to muddy the waters concerning the Bible, since the Word of God was given to men. Paul warned, in the first century, of men who sought to corrupt the Word of God. Dr. Riplinger exposes the devil s attempt to muddy the water of the word, the King James Bible. Most preachers have read as the commentators say, A better translation of this word is.... Or, This is a poor translation and should read.... This book takes you to the head of the stream where you will see the men standing with sticks in hand, stirring up the mud that is clouding the pure water of God s Word. When you finish this Book, you will know you can trust your King James Bible! I recommend every Christian read and study this book. Thank you, Dr. RIplinger, for allowing God to use you to speak out against the devil s attack on the Bible. Dr. Norris E. Belcher, Jr. --letter on file

There is absolutely no way that you could read this book and her New Age Translations book and come away trashing them. I find most of the other reviews here are absolutely absurd. One of the highlighted reviews is "no credible scholar views the Textus Receptus as reliable," well guess what? Why do you think that is?? It's a conspiracy! Yet, there are people here who are still blind.

This a great book for serious investigators of the version debate. It upholds the purity of the King James Version and shows the awful cunningness and sinfulness of the so-called 'intellectuals' who wish to distort God's Word for no other than personal reasons. When reading the biographies of these characters, you'll feel like you need a good shower and a heavy dose of the Holy Ghost. Beware the 'Greek definitions hierarchy'!

Riplinger has once again provided a scholarly and well-documented work that supports the King James only position. Do you have your Bible students go to a Strongs concordance to find the meaning of the underlying Greek words in order to "clearer understanding" of the King James Bible words? Did you know that those definitions are coming from the manuscripts which are the foundation of the modern English versions? You might as well hand your students an NIV. King James Bible supporters need to wake up to the "Greek professors" and "theologians" who cause Bible students to rely upon the enemies of God for their Greek definitions.
This large work exposes the error of utilizing Strong's Concordance Lexicons, Bible Dictionaries by Vine, Zodhiates, Word Studies by Vincent, Wuest, Trench, Hebrew-English Dictionaries by Brown, Driver, and Briggs, Greek-English Dictionaries by Moulton, Thayer, Danker, Liddell, Greek and Hebrew texts by Metzger, Aland, Scrivener, Berry, Ginsburg, Green, Robinson, Hodges, and all Greek and Hebrew Study Tools and Interlinears.
As for the review from the person who gave this book one star, he admits that he didn't even read this book. Enough said.

Highly recommend any book that G.A. Riplinger has written. She is expert in her field. Also loved her "New Age Bible Versions"...I refer to this book in most of my research writing and teaching. TEN STARS would be my rating for all of Dr. Riplinger's books. She is "WORD" perfect in her scholarly works.

I have just finished reading this book cover to cover and I can recommend it to all who are seriously heeding God’s command to “seek ye my face” (Psalm 27:8). The good news contained in this book is that we as Christians are set free from the Babylon of Biblical Scholarship. As soon as mankind changed the study of the Bible into a science with principles based on the wisdom of man we were always going to be in trouble. Here was Satan’s golden opportunity to undermine the simple faith of the babes in Christ. Those of us who are old in the faith will now realize that we had all we needed to seek his face when all we had was the King James Bible and the still small voice of the Holy Spirit explaining it to us. All the chopping and changing of Bible words that followed the KJB and was at first attributed to the honest truth seeking of God fearing men whom we were told we could trust is now shown to be nothing but the leaven of men who unwittingly made themselves the puppets of Satan. Don’t take my word for it. Read this book and see for yourself. The author has championed the cause of the believer whose child-like faith in the immutable words of God has been destroyed by the questioning of the educated elite(Higher Criticism) with their focus on the scientific analysis of ancient manuscripts in “original languages”. The arduous research has been done and the corruption and the corrupters are revealed and we the uneducated can be grateful to those more educated who had the faith, courage and conviction to track down the Devil and his puppets in their attack on the words of the Lord. This book is concerned with giving glory to God and justifying the promise he made to both inspire and preserve his words until heaven and earth pass away.Read more ›

One of the most controversial subjects in Christianity today is the accuracy and authority of Bible translations and their underlying Hebrew and Greek texts. Christians have a wealth of reference and research material on the Bile at their disposal today and we should thank God for it. However, we must remember that these reference materials can be misused all too often.
As for Mrs. Riplinger, I respect her as a Christian and I agree with her basic thesis here, ie. that we should view the King James translation with more respect than fallible Hebrew and Greek lexicons. After all, the Bible is inerrant and inspired of God, these lexicons are NOT.
However, I would use some caution here because Mrs. Riplinger is not herself a Hebrew or Greek scholar. She also has made mistakes and false claims in some of her writings and I have found some childish dealings in this one as well. Her treatment of the Jewish Kabbalah, for example, is seriously flawed. Another problem I have, is that Mrs. Riplinger often speaks with authority she simply does not have. She is not a scholar and she needs to stop passing herself off as one.
However, that said, she does a fine job of exposing some of the satanic tactics used by lexicon authors and the often anti-Christian, heretical beliefs of some of these men which no true Christian should have any respect for.
Reference tools are a welcome blessing and should be used responsibly, but the Bible is superior to them all and thees reference tools should never be viewed with more respect or treated as being more authoritative than the Bible itself. Furthermore, the King James Bible can be defended quite often without needing to resort to arguments from the Hebrew or Greek.
Despite her problems, I think this is still a book that should be read and reflected on by all serious Bible students
