Rob Schnepp is a firefighter/paramedic and hazardous materials specialist in Alameda County Fire Department. He is also the Vice President of Safety Compliance Management.

This was the best overall text on the subject of hazardous materials. The book thoroughly covers some very complex topics in a very easily understood format. The author uses clear examples to illustrate points. The chapter review exercises and questions provide an excellent summary of the main points. As a teacher, I plan to use the book in many of my courses. I would encourage the author to consider publishing other manuals for use with the main text such as a student or instructor guide.
