I bought this coffee maker to replace another that bit the dust after three months (different brand). I paged through lots and lots of them, then I saw this one - love at first sight. The reviews were good, the price was right, and it's beautiful to boot.

The coffee is terrific, and you can use basket or cone filters. I'll probably never use the programmable feature, but that's okay. My sole complaint is that it's a little tough (but not impossible) to fit in the dishwasher; if that's the only thing I can find that I don't like, then that's one fine product.

Keep 'em coming, Hamilton Beach - good design matters, and this is a very good design.

I have used many, many coffee pots during my 50 years. This is the best coffee pot I've ever used. It is simple to operate and the very best part about it is that it has the best pouring carafe that I have ever used. It does NOT spill when you pour it. It doesn't leak down the sides either. The coffee pot also looks stylish. It is unique in that the coffee pot is actually sitting in a hole. You can't see from the picture that there is no back side behind the coffee pot, but there isn't. It looks good on the counter too. Very unique, but extremely functional. I highly recommend this coffee pot.

It looks very nice, but the clock acts funny sometimes. The bottom row of digits seem to randomly disappear and reappear. It's not really worth it to send it back. It makes coffee well, and the "cup" markers in the reservoir are very easy to see. The clock is VERY bright, so it may not be to great for dorm rooms or efficiency apartments.
