I bought this coffee maker to replace another that bit the dust after three months (different brand). I paged through lots and lots of them, then I saw this one - love at first sight. The reviews were good, the price was right, and it's beautiful to boot.

The coffee is terrific, and you can use basket or cone filters. I'll probably never use the programmable feature, but that's okay. My sole complaint is that it's a little tough (but not impossible) to fit in the dishwasher; if that's the only thing I can find that I don't like, then that's one fine product.

Keep 'em coming, Hamilton Beach - good design matters, and this is a very good design.

I have used many, many coffee pots during my 50 years. This is the best coffee pot I've ever used. It is simple to operate and the very best part about it is that it has the best pouring carafe that I have ever used. It does NOT spill when you pour it. It doesn't leak down the sides either. The coffee pot also looks stylish. It is unique in that the coffee pot is actually sitting in a hole. You can't see from the picture that there is no back side behind the coffee pot, but there isn't. It looks good on the counter too. Very unique, but extremely functional. I highly recommend this coffee pot.

It looks very nice, but the clock acts funny sometimes. The bottom row of digits seem to randomly disappear and reappear. It's not really worth it to send it back. It makes coffee well, and the "cup" markers in the reservoir are very easy to see. The clock is VERY bright, so it may not be to great for dorm rooms or efficiency apartments.

The package arrive quickly and I was excited to get this in the mail, but was so disappointed when I did. The decanter was leaking when I took it out of the box and went to put it through a cleaning cycle, so I returned it right away.

I bought this coffee-maker for two reasons: the price and the look.

At the time of purchase, the Hamilton Beach Illusion was on sale for about $35 and qualified for free shipping. I can safely say this was the best coffee-maker at that price point.

Beyond price, I also loved the design of this coffee-maker. The hole through the center of the appliance makes a very unique and futuristic aesthetic, as well as serving the practical purpose of saving counter-top space. The black plastic body with chrome accents looks very elegant as well.

I have had the chance to make several pots of coffee with this appliance since purchase, and I have been very impressed. The flavor of the coffee has been excellent, and the brew time is surprisingly quick. The temperature of the "keep warm" plate allows for a hot cup of coffee without burning. I feel I should also mention that I have not had a single drop spill on the "keep warm" plate even when filling a mug mid-brew.

This Hamilton Beach Illusion coffee-maker exceeded my expectations and I would recommend one for any coffee drinking.

This coffee brewer sits nicely underneath my cupboards on a limited space counter. My previous coffee pots took up so much space. The dementions are 6*9*14 (6inches deep(front to back)9inches wide and 14inches tall). It doesn't make a whole lot of excess steam so I don't have to have it sitting out near the edge. The design itself is very contemporary and looks very nice.

I also noticed that the decanter pours very nicely, I don't spill water when filling the resevior. The only down fall is that not all of the water comes out of the decanter, always a little bit left to shake out. But that is nothing. I bought one for my friend as a christmas gift a year ago and loved it so much I finally got my own.

I perused many makers and reviews for them before deciding on this one. The HB Illusion maker is sleek, easily programmed, and makes good coffee. I think it was a great buy.

This is a surprise from the low price never thought it would brew so fast and has a timer. In my office and everyone has commented on how cool it looks. They call it the star trek model....

Won't be dissapointed at all...what a deal!

I will say this, model 44755 makes a very good cup of coffee but it should come with a dozen or so free coupons for Mr. Clean Magic Erasers! It just leakes out terribly from all around the plastic ring which circles around the top of the carafe. I'm not talking a drip or two, I'm talking serious leaks. Seems to me it should be a simple fix for Hamilton Beach. I had one of these which was a replacement for another product and it didn't leak, and liked it so much we bought another and gave the first one to a family member needing a coffee pot. Well after we did, the first one started leaking and the newer one we purchased for ourselves, started leaking from day one very badly. Now in checking other websites that sell model 44755, there is a pattern of carafes leaking from the circular rim area. I called Hamilton Beach and will try another carafe. But if this one leaks like the others, then perhaps this model 44755 should be recalled by Hamilton Beach as it really is irritating, leaves a stained mess but more importantly, is a safety issue as well. After purchasing this and if the replacement carafe is a leaker also, I hate to go out and purchase something else. Besides the principle, the product is stylish and different and the coffee brewed is excellent. Hopefully, Hamilton Beach will respond and will fix the leakage problem. I only called Hamilton Beach a couple of times, but they have always been pleasant, cooperative and responsive.

I ordered this product as opposed to buying something in the stores because it seems that most people out there are extremely picky about what coffee their coffee maker turns out; I just wanted something that had a programmable setting and didn't dribble when you poured it. Unfortunately, it does drip down the side whenever it's poured; it must be a defective seal on the black ring that circles the entire top of the glass. Either way, not too bad.. would have probably purchased a different one for less money had I know that I was going to have to pour my coffee over the sink every morning.
