This CD of standard Christmas music is not what you'd expect. It is a compilation of fantastic guitar tracks, tastefully assembled into an exciting and refreshing story. This is a must-have for guitar lovers and is a new twist on holiday standards. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who is interested in listening to something out of the ordinary. It is pleasantly different and very enjoyable for active listening or background music.

Santana style Christmas Music that is not overpowering and yet delivers the theme of Christmas. Yes you can play this CD year round because of its' blend of jazz guitar and soft spirit of Christmas, but still the flavor of popular Jazz music anytime.

I really wish that Amazon would put samples of this CD on their site so that everyone could hear how different and unique this CD is. I have really enjoyed listening to this music in my car to get me in the Christmas spirit. If you're thinking about buying this and want to hear a taste, you can always try going to foginccom to hear what it sounds like. The first time I heard this CD I knew that I had to have it.

I've heard Tyra's guitar work on other recordings and always wished that he would put out a CD of his own. Now my wish has been granted. Without a doubt this is one of my favorite Christmas recordings. While the songs have a jazz feel, the two words that come to my mind to describe the arrangements are "creative" and "innovative." Tyra has a sound of his own, but the closest artists I can compare this to are Steve Vai or Santana. If you like the work of these guitarists you will probably love this CD, also.

This CD is a Christmas CD, but it is music that you would love listening to year around, as we should celebrate the birth of Christ year around, not just at Christmas time. I would recommend this CD any time of the year to listen to.

Definitely for electric guitar fans. I bought this CD on a whim and have really enjoyed it. I put it on while we decorated our tree this year and it just made the mood a little more party-like. This group uses a slightly different approach that gives this CD a nice sound. I'm not sure what kind of guitar is used on lead, but it sounds like a Stratocaster - and I'm only guessing this because the lead uses a lot of bends in certain places. The lead guitar also has a slightly "edgy" sound, but not a lot of distortion (reminds me of a strat). There are some cool guitar licks, especially on "O, Holy Night" where the lead improvises quite a bit towards the end. I guess that I would classify this as a little artsy electric guitar work in a nice latin-jazz arrangement.

Definitely different and for those who love electric guitar and/or Latin sounds. An enjoyable recording or upbeat, festive holiday songs with no annoying vocals. This is definitely not re-hashed material, but a fresh approach to some old standards.

This is certainly holiday jazz with a little more of a "pop" feel - and not your average Christmas album. I do wish that Amazon would put samples of this CD up and I'm not sure why they give samples for some CDs and not for others. I went to Borders and heard samples in store - and that's what sold me on this one. I am a huge fan of guitar music and just fell in love with the guitar work on this CD (this group has two acoustic, one electric, a bass, and drums). I also bought several copies of this CD as Christmas gifts for co-workers - and now these people are asking me where I found this CD so that they can buy copies for their friends.

The songs? Well they range from weak to okay. Nothing to write home about, but I've heard worse. However what really put me off was the poor quality of the recording. If there were samples I never would have purchased this.

I was waiting for Amazon to get this in stock when I found it at the record company's site and it got to my house within two days of ordering. Check out the samples on the site at FOGINC.com and see if you love this as much as I do.
