Fear. In today's downsized, rightsized world, the nail that sticks out is the one that gets beaten down. Or worse, the job of that nail gets sent to Bangladore.

My vice president told us in a group meeting "If you don't like it, leave!".

Sorry, but this little fable seems like a good recipe for unemployment, especially for those of us far down on the "food chain".
