My teenage son and I have read "A Hole in the Gospel" by Rich Stearns and it changed our lives forever. We were so thrilled when we saw this book was out and already started to read it. You will need a box of kleenex, is all I can say. This book is life altering and it will cause you to see the love of God.

I got this book for my daughter and I right before she left on a 7 week missions trip to Kenya, and now that she's there and I'm struggling not to worry about her in the wake of more violence against Christians in Kenya, this book has been a gentle reminder of the importance of what she's doing. Christ's call to share His ministry everywhere is so important. ...and it happens one person at a time. We are His hands and feet!

He Walks Aamong Us is a profound volumn of short stories with a true meaning of brotherly love. It will inspire and motivate you to become what we were created to be for our world and the next heavenly world. What we need to do for our broken world so we can go home forever.

I couldn't read this as a daily devotional, I couldn't put it down. After I finished it I took it to our Bible Study and gave it to another to read.

Although I did feel a bit of the guilt trip vibe while reading this, as well as a small dose of self-promotion, the stories and images are so touching that I found myself so caught up in the book that I couldn't put it down. In fact, I liked it so much that since I was reading a library copy, I ordered one from Amazon. Not only will I read this again, I plan to share its stories and messages with others. It is an eye-opener to the struggles and the hope of people in need all over the world. My heart broke for hungry children but my soul was lifted learning how God is working to heal and restore broken lives.

The stories is this book will open your eyes to the reality of how things are in most of the world. We in the United States have on idea as to how good we have it here. Read this book at your own peril because it just might cause you to get out of your rut and change your status quo thinking. It will stir you, it will challenge you, it will provoke you.

Excellent book! Don't sit down and try and read it cover to cover. Instead, take one chapter each day. Read it in the morning before you begin your day; the chapters are not long, it will take you five minutes. This five minutes will, however, change your perspective for the entire day. The Stearns do an excellent job of taking experiences from far away and often forgotten places and making relevant spiritual applications for each of us. This book has become a vital part of my quiet time. I will be sharing this book with others at Christmas. Its a perfect gift! It is also very well illustrated with excellent photography.
