LOVE THIS NEW CD BY BRANDON RHYDER.....VERY GOOD SONGS AND HE DELIVERS THEM SO GOOD...THIS IS A "MUST HAVE"...

When I moved back to Texas last year, I was immediately hit by how much I had missed the Texas music scene. Brandon Rhyder is one of those small town kids who has been around for several years. This album (yes, I'm old) sounds very smooth and professional, but it is the lyrics that will grab you. Whether it's a faster rock tune like "Rock Angel" or a grittier song like "You Burn Me," the words will have you listening to a song repeatedly. Several tunes deal with relationships, both good and bad, and a few will take you back to growing up in the country (for those of us who did).

Rhyder doesn't really fit classical country or the new country grove. I would compare him to Jack Ingram - a good story teller who doesn't fit into any niche.

For $5 that is a heck of a deal and the album is awesome....every tune is a keeper.. and that is 1/2 of what itunes is.

Still trying to figure out why I bought this CD. This is a very mediocre collection of unmemorable ballads, with nothing much to say. If I find out I bought this cause Amazon said ",,,you bought that, so we think you'll like this.."
