This case does not fit with the Sony Xperia Z1 Charging Dock (DK31) WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS.
This case also does not have a phone strap hole.

In order to make it fit with the DK31 dock, you need to trim the Charging Dock Adapter (For 'With Case') so that this case will fit into the dock - even without trimming, you should be able to notice that the case will fit the middle of the adapter, but not the sides and therefore, needs to be trimmed.

After you make the above modification, you'll next notice that your Z1 still won't charge even though the phone fits into the dock now - because the contact points do not touch.

To fix this, you'll need to replace the existing Charging Cable (EC21) with a Charging Cable that has elevated charging contact points (if you compare the EC21 with this cable you should notice that the EC21 is shorter) - I brought mine for about 10USD for use when I don't have my dock nearby but don't want to charge via micro-USB (Have to admit, because of it's elevated magnetic point, it was really easy to nudge the cable loose - glad it's put to better use now).

Lastly, you can make your own phone strap hole by drilling a hole into your case - I used a sharp object to mark the case so a screw would fall into place and by applying a screwdriver, I was able to make two holes close enough together that it resembles the Xperia Z1's phone strap hole.

I've had four cases for my Z1 thus far and they range from flip-book (made modifications to the case to fit into the dock) and shells (one rigid, one flexible and one too thick for the dock). Have to say, making this case fit the dock was easier than modifying the flip-book case for the dock.

All in all, a good case.
Now I just hope it's durable to last a while.

scratches very easily and the pattern is removed with each scratch or slight stroke made .... very poor quality and also gives little protection to the phone
