This review is from: Head Full of Pictures (Audio CD)
This CD reminds me of a UFO. Maybe you'll see it or hear it once and never again, having no idea who or what it's about, let alone where it came from... but you'll wish you had a second chance. Jim Page has his heart and mind in very good and ironically funny places and he's got the gift of delivering this information with top-notch singing and playing. I've other CDs by this artist and wouldn't part with 'em, but this one seems to end up in the player more often than the others.
The Clone Song... once you hear it, you'll never get it out of your head. You'll want to hear it again and again. It's beyond clever. I've spontaneously combusted and sung this in front of a morbidly depressed friend, who broke into a smile and asked "what're you ON?" Nothing but my own adrenaline and memory of this insanely witty song. The entire CD...it's all good. REALLY good. And if you are fortunate enough to dwell somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, you might be able to catch Jim Page playing live. That is an opportunity you won't want to pass up, as it seems to occur about as often as having a UFO hover over your house.
