This review is from: Head MicroGel Raptor OS Tennis Racquet (Sports)
There are so many choices in racquets that it's hard to know which one is for you. I've been using the Head MicroGel Raptor OS for awhile now and really, really like this racquet. I'm a senior player (4.0 to 4.5) playing mostly men's doubles these days (the eyes and knees aren't what they used to be). My racquet is strung with 17 gauge syn gut at 59 lbs. (mid-tension for this racquet). The open string pattern, combined with the narrower gauge strings, provide plenty of spin and good control. The Raptor OS is very light (under 9.5 oz, strung) but generates ample power with a moderate swing since it is slightly head-heavy. It's also very maneuverable at the net because it's so light. At 110 sq inches it has a large sweet spot. The grip is very comfortable, and the sound and feel are very solid...no stress on my arm whatsoever. If you are a ground-pounding baseliner this might not be the perfect racquet for you, but for most intermediate all-court players this is an excellent choice at an affordable price. Head's newest technology racquet, the YouTek Speed Lite, costs more than twice as much.

Caveat Emptor: On the Amazon product page, under the heading "Product Features", it states that this racquet includes free basic stringing. However, when you add it to your cart it is shown as an unstrung racquet. Mine came unstrung, but since I wasn't going to use the free 16 gauge strings anyway I didn't care.
