They are so thin that they don't provide any more stability than the plastic poles.

If u want to buy this for the rackets be a fool and do so...if u want it as a set I am sure you are better off giving me your money.
Jvchauca
While the Head rackets and case are plenty good, the birdies, net, and poles are low quality.

I was looking for two badminton rackets. As I was searching I ran into this item from Amazon. It seemed like a tremendous value and HEAD is a good brand. I bought it and it arrived within 2 days. I could not be happier. Very good titanium rackets, lightweight and good quality. I played a vigorous game and did not have any issues. Will buy again.

I picked this set mostly for the racquets, and I wasn't disappointed. I've used Head tennis racquets for years, so it was the natural choice when choosing badminton racquets. The instructions are a little confusing, but I got it sorted out and we've enjoyed it immensely.

I went to dicks and bought an ESPN tournament badminton set which was on sale for $75. It was horrible. Cheap, bent rackets, amazingly complicated net and no carrying case. This set on the other hand is under $60, comes with 4 fantastic rackets (best I have ever used) 2 good shuttlecocks, a good net, a carrying case, and marker lines with stakes for the playing field. It is fantastic value and I would expect to spend more like $100 for a set like this.

Some people have complained about the net but I am not one of them. The net is on the flimsy side but that means that you need less complicated nonsense to hold it up. Unless you are blundering into it full speed you aren't going to be breaking it, so it doesn't need to be hefty. It is also much simpler to erect than the other net I used. The shuttlecocks are not the feather kind which I prefer because the feathers always break. My only genuine complaint is that the marker lines are really low quality and have already broken. You can jury rig them to work though and so its not a big deal. Get this set, you will be happy with it.

After looking at several different badminton sets on Amazon I decided to choose this one as this had the most promising reviews. It was also one of the more expensive sets as well. I received the Badminton set very quickly with Prime shipping and was excited to get it set up. Looking at the set everything looks great, except the net. The net was VERY cheaply made and was coming apart before I was even able to get it set up. The rods that go into the ground are also made of very cheap metal and start to roll/break when you try to hammer it into the ground (even with padding like they suggest in the instructions.) The instructions are also very poorly written and do not even mention a few of the items included such as the outline markers.

I was really shocked to see this kit at close to $70 be such poor quality. The only good thing about about this set was the racquets and that is why I am giving it two stars instead of one.

I promptly returned this to Amazon for a full a refund.

Received the product on Friday and went to set it up on Saturday. The second pole we attempted to get into the ground immediately cracked and split. For the brand name, the price and the reviews, I was expecting to be playing badminton in my backyard instead of repackaging the kit and sending it promptly back on Monday. Amazon customer service was great to work with, since I needed advice on how to ship the two poles that were now stuck together and wouldn't fit back into the original shipping box. All I can hope is that we received a lemon of a lot and no one else experiences this disappointment and frustration.

This is by far the best badminton set I've owned. I used it for my Labor Day cookout in the backyard and the net, racquests, pole, etc were great!. The carrying case is also perfect to adding more racquets and even has room for more shuttlecocks. I couldn't be happier. Shipment, as always, was great. But, the product was the hit of our cookout. Love it!!! I may buy more Head racquets as they too were sturdy. I also have racquets by Carlton which are just as good and have held up over the years

This is a good set for the money. The rackets are top notch. The out of bounds lines are a really great feature, and essential for a good game if you are scoring. The net is a little low, but that was good for the kids, and led to some fast action for the adults too. The netting appears flimsy, but if it is set up carefully, it will withstand a lot - this one stood through Hurricane Irene. If you are looking for a recreational as opposed to a professional grade set, this is a great choice.

I went with this badminton set mainly because I am loyal to Head products (tennis and skiing). But like most things, I think you get what you pay for and I am disappointed with this badminton set. The Head Titanium Smash racquets are great, but both nylon shuttles broke within the first hour and the posts are very cheap. I would return it but it's been more than 30 days since I purchased it.
