This product works wonders.I have tried every product there is for curly/Wavy hair. I was given a tip by a girl workin in Peninsula beauty, She told me to use some warm water and rub your hands together so the product isn't so thick and will distribute easier throughout the hair. WONDERFUL TIP. I get some many compliments on my hair when using this product. I have natural waves in my hair and if I don't find the right product my hair doesn't look good. I would not go without this product.

I have curly hair - and with the years it has changed - sometimes curlier, somes closer to wavy (yucky hormones!) But for many years the one constant for me has been Curls Rock. If left with no product, my hair is frizzy & lacks all defintion. Using this product - the right way - leaves my hair shiny & my curls are defined.

I have naturally curly, super thick hair - shoulder lenght. Here is my routine.

Step 1 - wash & condition with curl enhancing products - I use Clairol right now - its decently priced.

Step 2 - comb wet hair with a comb- & towel dry for a few seconds. You just want it to still be very wet - but not dripping

Step 3 - squeeze Curls Rock Curl Amplifier into hand (I use a dime sized amount - you may need more or less) and rub hands together.

Step 4 - work product through hair - I start with the places on my head that get the frizziest - then work my way to the underside.

Step 5 - Spray head generously with a Strong hold aerosol Hairspray (I really like Pantene.

Step 6 - flip head upside down (bend over at waist) and dry with a diffuser attachment on hairdryer. ONLY DRY HAIR 50% OF THE WAY. You don't want to fry it.

Step 7 - finish with more hairspray

Thoughout the day my curls will straighten out due to the heaviness of my hair - I use the Curls Rock Booster (an aerosol spray) to liven them up about once a day when I am at work (I think the vent in my office is aimed at my head).

This is what works for me & I get compliments on my curly hair all the time. The trick is to find a good product - then try a few different things - in combination with some other products to get the results you want. I have never experienced the 'dandruff' effect described by some reviewers, my guess would be they used too much product - or used on dry hair. I have been using this product for years!

I bought this based on many rave reviews from different websites. The first time I used it, I made the mistake of using way too much, so make sure you use it sparingly until you figure out the right amount for your hair. I don't care for the fruity smell but it dissapates after the hair is dry. It has a thin consistency so it's easy to distribute it to every strand of hair, thus eliminating the possibilty of frizz. It could offer more hold, but it does help control the frizz and defines my curls well. I just end up using hairspray (Rusk W8Less & W8Less Plus)after my hair is dry to achieve the desired volume and hold (my hair is very heavy). Worth a try if you already have curly or wavy hair but if you're expecting it to create curl where none exists, don't waste your money. It's only for us Shirley Temple gals! Oh, and one more thing, I tried the entire Ouidad line for over a year-it actually made my hair more frizzy and dried it out like there was no tomorrow. I used it EXACTLY according to the directions and video clips on the website. Definitely don't waste your money on that product line!
