I was so excited about this case because it is so cute. Unfortunately the design lacks functionality. The sleep button on the top right-hand side does not actually reach the real sleep button, and therefore doesn't work at all. And while there is a hole on the right hand side to control the volume, the back case comes out as far as the right edge of the front of the case. The back of the case is curved in, so the end result is it is almost impossible to reach the controls. Whoever designed this was not concerned about actually using the iPad, they were just concerned about looks. The Headcase Etch A Sketch Hard Case for iPhone 4 - AT&T and Verizon - 1 Pack - Case - Retail Packaging - Red is almost as bad, again it's just hard to reach the controls. Plus, everyone expects you to have an etch-a-sketch app, which it does not.

I was very excited to purchase this for my husband for nostalgic reasons, but we were both disappointed after we actually got in on the iPad. It didn't want to snap together when putting it on the iPad, and the kick stands break off every time we try to use them. When we finally got the case on correctly, it didn't seem like a good fit; if it's not in just right, the case causes the power button to stay pressed down. We were especially disappointed by the high price; I really thought the quality would be better considering what I paid for it. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I really love the way the case look however it won't say close thus defeating the purpose for having a case. I would return it but I threw away the packing. I do not recommend this product.

I purchased this item for my iPad2 and it was wonderful-until it fell 2.5 feet from my book bag to pavement as I was getting out of my car. The case, which I'd had difficulty opening in the past, popped off upon impact.

It must have hit the corner just right for this to happen. I have broken the top layer of glass on the iPad and it now has a small crack, but the corner and back of the iPad are unscathed. The Etch a Sketch case itself suffered no scratches, either.

It is an adorable case and I got many compliments over the five months I used it, but I was lulled into a false sense of security, due to it being so difficult to remove the case in the time I had it. Please, be very careful with yours and protect it in a cushioned travel sleeve of some sort when you're moving from school, work or home with your iPad. If yours will not be transported from place to place often, this case will make your inner child happy.

I really don't want to pay $350 for a replacement iPad (the price Apple will charge), so I'm switching to a sturdier case, but will really miss my Etch a Sketch case being on my iPad2.

I got this as a gift for Xmas. I can leave my I pad on a desk and no one know what it really is. So unless they see you using it or they need an Etch a Sketch your okay. I got the app for the Etch a Sketch it woks just fair. I leave a drawing on it as a screen saver. The volume switch is hard to reach when this cover is on. It is a nice conversation piece and easy to hold.

if you buy this. Everybody that sees my ipad thinks its an Etch A Sketch. I havent dropped it so I wont comment on how it protects. It isnt easy to remove tho and the only issue I have are the legs. They tend to pop off and sometimes wont stay upright. It would have been nice to have the knobs turnable as it is, it just looks cheap.

I purchased this case to use in the classroom (I use my iPad with students). It looks great, but unfortunately the button cover for the iPad power button either holds the power button down or is so loose you cannot use the button while the iPad is in the case. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Fortunately the seller was quick on the refund!

The case is adorable but 2 problems exist with it. 1. The case does not fit snug, I keep having to try and snap it tight. 2. I can't use the snap up legs as they snap off every time I try to click them in position.
