A GLORIOUS ERA,
This review is from: Headhunter (Audio CD)
Early to late 80's metal was sucha wonderful time for music. Today it's trashed for big hair and spandex cliches (which is true-after awhile there WAS too many no-talent bands spoiling things, but that happens in every genre), but the music was great and it was FUN-something so sadly missing in today's rock/rap/industrial hybrids. Krokus' Headhunter is an outstanding representation of the era. Great hookfilled songs that have stood the test of time! Put on "Eat The Rich" andI defy anyone not to get into it with gusto! RocK ON! (Picture my hand up giving the devil horn sign.)

The Krokus Peak,
By Andrew Etherington "The Guru" (Massachusetts) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Headhunter (Audio CD)
Krokus had released three albums prior to Headhunter, all of which are madly impossible to pick up without having to import them. Luckily I was able to pick up all three at a record store not long ago and I can say that all three of this albums get increasingly better. A sound was being developed. That sound was perfected with Headhunter and it is amazing this band did not become more popular for it. Headhunter is a straight hard rock album with great hooks and no gimmicks. You know what you are getting with Krokus much like with the band that clearly influenced Krokus the greatest, AC/DC. Clearly one of the better hard rock albums of the earl 80's but it remains fact that since there is no great substance, I can not give five stars. There can be great hard rock albums with substance but this is not one of them. This is just a balls out rocker and if that's what you are in the mood for then this is indeed one of the best!

Headhunter Review,
By A.D.D (USA) - See all my reviews

Krokus is, surprisingly, a pretty obscure band that never really got the recognition it deserved. There are many classic metal songs on here such as Headhunter, Screaming in the Night, and Eat the Rich. This album should be known by all people who think they know metal.

By far Krokus' best album. Not commercial in the slightest!! Every metal band has an album that shines....this is it for Krokus.

REALLY GOOD ROCKIN' ALBUM,
By
This review is from: Headhunter (Audio CD)
This is one of the band's best albums. A lot of people have stated that they started getting a little more soft here, but I don't see it. It may not be as heavy as "One Vice at a Time" but its still rocks out. The band has always been good at mixing hard rock with catchy choruses and good melody. They do that here in the form of great tracks like "Screaming in the Night" with its great buildup, "Eat the Rich" and the title track. If you like Krokus or good solid hard rock in general, you will like this album a lot

If you like the vocals of AC/DC's Bon scott. Mixed with the sledg hammer beats and driving rythums of judas priest and accept. you will love what Krokus has to offer. A must for the metal collection. Headhunter A awsome piece of musical insparation. Eat the rich. ha ha ha ha. The song said it all. as well as all the songs on this cd. it just kicks my mule. The group could not have made it any better. As perfect as it is. Dont take my word for it. BUY THE CD AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND!!!
you will not want to turn it off. E_Vilco fellow metalist and guitarist

Headhunter - Krokus's Best,

Saw this band open for Def Leppard and Jon Butcher Axis on the Def Lep Pyromania tour. Krokus kicked some serious arse that night. Guitarist Fernando von Arb axed his guitar and that really got all the nuts in the audience going. Favorites: Headhunter, Eat the Rich, Russian Winter, Screaming in the night.
