Katie Flynn has lived for many years in the north-west. A compulsive writer, she started with short stories and articles and many of her early stories were broadcast on Radio Merseyside. She decided to write her Liverpool series after hearing the reminiscences of family members about life in the city in the early years of the twentieth century. She also writes as Judith Saxton.

Yet another great read by Katie Flynn. I found this book quite different from a lot of her previous works, but just as good, if not better. You laugh and cry with the characters and by the end of reading this book I felt like I 'knew' them all and wished that there was a sequel. Truly the sign of a good read. I always find Katie Flynn's books well worth the money and dread the day I've finished reading them all!
