This review is from: Heading West: Life with the Pioneers, 21 Activities (For Kids series) (Paperback)
Very informative, yet interesting for children, due to the photographs and fun design of the book. Our tween couldn't put it down - she read it cover to cover the day she received it and is now working through the 21 suggested activities. This book would appeal to anyone interested in pioneer life, Laura Ingalls Wilder books, or the history of our country. It begins with the French and Indian War (1700s) and concludes with a story about the last official homesteader. It also contains a 'resources' section in the back, which lists websites and other books about life on the frontier.
