I'm not a huge fan of Mitsou. She's one of those singers whose original language is French and she tried to break through the English market back in the 90s with mixed results. This cd has two of her old hits: Bye Bye Mon Cowboy (which was her biggest hit), and also Dis-moi, Dis-moi, which was another big hit from another one of her cds. The only reason i bought this cd was for the songs Deep Kiss, and Heading West (which Cyndi Lauper originally did). I actually like Mitsou's version of that song better. Unfortunately, the version of Deep Kiss on the cd is nothing like the video version. The video for Deep Kiss is a very erotic bisexual fantasy, and is probably one of the most interesting and sensual music videos you'll ever see. The music for the video sounds so different than the cd version and i was disappointed. The cd version isn't bad though, but it's quite overproduced.It's still a great song though if you like dance music. The rest of the tracks are a mixed bag. Her version of Janet Joplin's song Mercedes Benz will either embarrass you or make you laugh because they turned it into a dance number. Mitsou also covers an old 60s slow song called Spooky. Her version is total crap and will conjure up images of really bad keraoke done in a bar. It's so cheesy you'll find yourself laughing at how incredibly bad she does the song. It's definite filler. With 7 tracks, and 2 remix tracks of songs you've heard before, this cd is more of a marketing promotion for Mitsou to show her off to the English market than as a cd to be taken seriously. Once again we have a case of good looks over talent. It's a short cd, but i don't think i'd want to hear much more of her.

A strange release from the Quebec singer. After two successful albums came this weird packaged album of old songs, new songs and remixed ones. Not a greatest hits nor a new album... More of a promotional tool, a way to conquer english audiences (since most tracks here are in english). Highlights feature the singles 'Deep Kiss' and 'Heading West', a funky dance cover of Janis Joplin's 'Mercedes Benz' and the always amazing house mix of 'Bye bye mon cowboy' by Shep Pettibone. This 1997 re-release features two extra remixes, making this a more interesting buy but still, 'Heading West' should be one of the last Mitsou albums to get.
