Headphone Children Re-Issue,
By ... "vilbs" (Montreal) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Headphone Children (Audio CD)
The Back Horn is a Japanese rock band originally formed in 1998 with a current lineup featuring Yamada Masashi on vocals, Suganami Eijun on guitar, Matsuda Shinji on drums, and Okamine Koushu on bass. 'Headphone Children' is their 4th major label studio album, released on 03.16.2005 on the Victor Records label. It contains the singles 'Yume no Hana', 'Cobalt Blue', and 'KIZUNA song' as well as the full track-listing below. If you like Japanese rock music then the Back Horn should definitely be up your alley. They're not as well known stateside as bands like X Japan, Dir en Grey, the GazettE, Glay, etc., but they're every bit as good and this is probably their strongest album front to back. My personal favorite is the opening track 'Tobira', but again it's a very strong set throughout and probably the best CD to start with to check out their work. Happy listening.
Track List: 1. Tobira 2. Unmei Fukuzatsukossetsu 3. Cobalt Blue 4. Boseki Fever 5. Yume no Hana 6. Tabibito 7. Pappara 8. Shanghai Rhapsody 9. Headphone Children 10. KIZUNA Song 11. Kiseki There was a limited edition Japanese pressing that comes with a bonus DVD. The limited edition and first press Japanese pressing are both out of print. This is the reduced-price 2nd pressing from 2008.
