3.0 out of 5 stars Doom Stoner Death Metal, July 24, 2006

This release has a very Sabbath doom feel to it, just a little more upbeat. Also kinda stoner metal sounding. Only difference is it has death metal style vocals. Not bad, not great. I got it off ebay for $.39 so judging from the overall price from most places most people would agree with me. Sometimes I find it more annoying than enjoyable, I guess mainly due to the contrast between the vocals and the music. But I guess for the price, one cannot complain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oddly good stuff..., October 6, 2008
This review is from: Heads Will Roll (Audio CD)
If you are seeking something unique in the often homogenous world of metal, this might be something worth your time (especially for the going rate of >$1.) Basically, we have a sludgey mid-paced groove factory with gravelly/gutteral vox. Hooks are everywhere on this disc, there's ceratinly some Sabbath influence to be found in the way of riffage and rhythms, but a strong nod to street-level punk is also prevelant ("Well Come" is reminiscent of late eighties/early nineties Butthole Surfers stuff, reeking with attitude.)

Think a Germanic take on Max Cavalera singing for The Sword, then add a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and we've come somewhat close. Really, it's an interesting and beer-soaked disc that I found absolutely refreshing.
