Great for the price, March 18, 2007

I use this for Skype and couldn't be happier with the quality of this product, especially for the price.
I have had comments that my voice is clearer using this headset with skype than on our landline. Is this praise for skype? or for this headset? I will let you decide, but the headset probably has something to do with it

Does The Job and Does It Well, October 12, 2007
This review is from: Pc Headseet Binaural Nc Mute Vol for Computer Use (Office Product)
This is the PC Audio 330 Headset With In-Line Controls from Plantronics.
My expectations were low as this isn't exactly in the upper class of Plantonics' line of headsets. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived.
The microphone is nice and clear without superfluous noise or breath pops. As an added convenience, it folds up and out of the way if only the headphones are needed.
The headphones are clear and provide a significantly positive sound delivery. While they are comfortable enough, the earpads are foam and not cupped, padded leather. This also precludes them from having any significant exterior sound dampening benefits. The over-the-head band is made of a high-impact plastic which leads itself to the appearance of a lesser quality. This is strictly a matter of aesthetics, not function.
A valued feature not included on some comparative sets is the in-line Mute/Volume. This feature should be included in all headsets as it comes in quite handy to quickly and easily correct those sudden volume changes without having to fiddle with the system's controls. I find I am always adjusting it a bit here or there to maintain a comfortable listening level.
The sound is good although it lacks in the bass. It obviously isn't a high-end, quality speaker although it still produces a very good sound. The other minor issue is the microphone is on the left side whereas I prefer it on the right. While not uncommon, it remains a minor, though nonetheless notable, issue.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to somebody looking for an inexpensive headset with clear sound and a good microphone. If you are looking to spend less than $50.00, the Plantonics PC Audio 330 should certainly be considered.

Great quality and comfort for a low price, September 26, 2006
I stumbled across this at one of the local office supply stores. Perfect for my needs -- casual music listening and occasional voice chat at my PC. It's sturdy, and it feels MUCH more comfortable than the Logitech "premium" headset that it's replacing, and it's cheaper too! It seems to be a hard-to-find product, but it's well worth the effort.
