5.0 out of 5 stars Well written and though provoking.
The pages of this book summarize various trials and tribulations faced by every day people. I was particularly interested in this book because I could relate to one of the stories.

I haven't completely finished reading this book yet, but it has not been helpful at all! It is so boring that I am skipping around alot. And the advice so far is horrible. For example, one of the authors was talking about "Road Rage" and talked about things that alot of people do and that he has done. But instead of giving you advice on how to deal with it,...

The pages of this book summarize various trials and tribulations faced by every day people. I was particularly interested in this book because I could relate to one of the stories.

One short story is based on the lives of two close friends. The story chronicles how one of the boys dealt with the frustration and anger that troubled him following the death of his friend. What was of particular interest to me was to find out how this young man overcame his grief. When you face issues similar to this one in your own life, it is always helpful to listen to the views of others who have overcome the hurt that accompanies such tragedies. This is the reason why I read this book, and I am very glad that I did.

I promise that if you are going through a difficult time in your life, you can find a story within this book, that will demonstrate how others have coped with similar situations. Whether you relate to every story, and every word in this book is not important. The fact that you can find at least one story that may help you through a difficult time is the perfect reason to read this book. I highly recommend this book, simply because one story helped me deal with a difficult time in my life.

4.0 out of 5 stars It makes you start to think, August 30, 1999

I don't know who the reader from texas was but, who ever he or she is, they are probably an immature highschool or college student that doesn't understand the importance of humanity. This book has really made me think about my life and the things that have happened in it. I would definetly read another book by this author

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, April 12, 2009
This review is from: Healing an Angry Heart: Finding Solace in a Hostile World (Paperback)
Too many books RAMBLE around too much these days. But this is not a RAMBLIN' book. Oh, no. This is an excellent, honest, and thought provoking book. Anger is a real issue for many in our society, especially but not exclusively men. Brain research has been recently pointing out how corrosive anger is to our brains and our emotional health. Kudos to Bill Chickering, not a ramblin' author.

For example, one of the authors was talking about "Road Rage" and talked about things that alot of people do and that he has done. But instead of giving you advice on how to deal with it, he just tells you not to do it. This is the most boring book that I have ever read! And I look forward to skipping ahead until it's over and I can get a better book!
