A wonderful wealth of wisdom!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Healing With Aromatherapy (Paperback)
I was not very familiar with aromatherapy when I first read this book. Then, as I did more research, I realized that this power-packed volume contains everything that either a novice or experienced aromatherapist needs to know. From how aromatherapy works to how essentials oils are extracted, from safety and toxicity to a complete Materia Medica -- it's all here, and more! Ericksen clearly knows of what she speaks. She wisely guides the reader through the use and storage of essential oils, covering nearly every application, including aromatherapy for children, the frail or elderly, common ailments, and women's needs. There are countless recipes, a glossary, and a list of resources. You will come away from this book feeling that you know what you are doing and are ready to treat your (or your friends' and loved ones') specific conditions with confidence. Although not a big book, it is encyclopedic in its scope of information. Healing With Aromoatherapy is not a book to collect dust on your shelf -- you'll use it and refer to it endlessly.

Exceptionally Written!,
This review is from: Healing with Aromatherapy (Healing Wisdom) (Kindle Edition)
In reading Marlene Ericksen's book on Kindle, it has become evident that essential oil therapy is an easy & safe natural method to take care of my family's well-being. Healing with Aromatherapy offers much... information, insight, & clarity, yet is easy to read and understand. Ms. Ericksen's vast knowledge of the various aspects of aromatherapy create a book that explores numerous topics related to history, culture & our use of aromatics to heal. I plan to switch away from synthetics and incorporate the natural home remedies described in Healing with Aromatherapy for the daily care of my family & treatment of common ailments. Ms. Ericksen has an exceptional chapter on treating children's ailments with aromatherapy. I am looking forward to reading future books written by this author that may focus on children's health needs and similar topics.

Best Aromatherapy Book I've found!,
By Cindy Nelso "Cindy" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Healing With Aromatherapy (Paperback)
This book is intelligent and easy to read. I didn't know what aromatherapy was and I learned that there are many easy at home remedies that I could use on my family that really worked. We try to avoid taking anti-biotics whenever possible. Ms. Ericksen's book keeps us in a lovely state of well being. When will she write another book? Soon I hope.
