I bought this book while completing a faith-based recovery program and I can honestly say it was the best $16.00 I've ever spent on self-help. I like the way it went step by step of helping you confront what was really at the heart of the issue you had with your father and then asked specific questions that made you really think about what you could do to work through and walked you through the process. It was really difficult but if you stick with it and are brutally honest, you'll feel a freedom like you've never experienced before.

I found this book to be very clear. Unlike other contemporary authors writing about counseling issue, H. Norman Wright is able to clearly work through the dynamics that create father wounds. The book has a very appropriate mix of guidance and stories to help the reader think through how his guidance applies to one's specific situation.
H. Norman Wright has tremendous insight into grief, personal struggles and growth. His guidance in this book is no exception.

This book is well-written, brimming with insight, and wisely arranged to it can apply to different experiences with different fathers. It's Biblically sound and has a number of great writing exercises, so it helps if you already enjoy journaling. I would recommend it to any adult daughters of divorce and other issues that created problematic relationships with dad. This book helped remind me of who God is and thankfully, who He is not. I can claim authentic change resulting from using this book as Bible study over about an 8-week period, but it's set to go at your own pace.

Good service from the shipper. This book is especially good for those ladies/girls who have experienced emotional wounding from their father.
