4.0 out of 5 stars Shows how nutritional healing plans can help certain illness, August 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Healing With Food: 281 Nutritional Plans for 50 Common Ailments (Paperback)
I needed a book to explain how nutritional deficiency affects my illness and what I can do to help this. The traditional doctors do not normally include this kind of treatment plan. Traditional doctors typically just prescribe medications, and sometimes gives you the material published by the pharmaceutical companies. I found Dr. Werbach's book very helpful. It is easy to follow and author used clinical cases to show his point. Caution should be taken in blindly following the case studies. As the author points out, the plan is a personal one. I don't know why this book is out of print. I found it in the libary and it was a donated copy. I hope the publisher will consider printing it again so I can get a copy of my own. I hope the author will consider writing an update to this book and perhaps add more clinical cases, an update to the field of nutritional medicine, some difinitions( we have so many different kinds now it is confusing), how do I find myself a good nutritional doctors, what does these doctors do to determine what nutritional deficiency I have relative to my illness, how do they monitor this, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Werbach: The Real Thing, September 22, 2010

This review is from: Healing With Food: 281 Nutritional Plans for 50 Common Ailments (Paperback)
Among so many "Health Practitioners", Werbach, time and time again offers data and research results which consistently hold up to the most severe cross-examination and debate. His understanding is based on selfless and only tried and true trials. Where they are speculative, he states so. This is a doctor to be listened to and trusted.
