This review is from: Healing the Inner City Child: Creative Arts Therapies with At-risk Youth (Paperback)
I'm training in the field of expressive arts and desire to work with youth at risk. This is the only book I've come across that addresses these two topics is such a concise and well written approach. The first chapters are dedicated to the research and theory underlying EA work and is a great reference tool for research to support grant applications or to support proposals. The remaining chapters break down different case studies and discuss what went right/wrong with a good deal of candor. I found it to be quite helpful in identifying the pitfalls so that I didn't make the same mistakes when I tried to replicate different projects. I would strongly recommend this book.
