A very good young adult read about two magic teens' trying to rescue the parents of one of them from a gang of tough desert pirates led by a powerful, evil wizard. Lots of action, adventure, magic, and a budding romance.

One of John Richters' finest, "Healing Magic" is a fun read - both comforting and exciting at the same time, this delightful story will capture any reader's imagination. Recommend for fans of fantasy and science fiction; but because the characters are so strong and engaging, this also makes an excellent transition into the genre for reluctant young readers.
