Area needs more study, but in truth the concept does work,
By
This review is from: Healing with Magnets (Paperback)
Some people will not be convinced that small ceramic magnets can be used for healing, but my experience of over 15 years using such magnets is proof that they can. I have recently been corresponding with a woman in Japan who has severe cartilage inflammation, and cannot use adequate doses of steroid anti-inflammatories because they are immunosuppressive. She has had very good results using small magnets. Her ear cartilage will cease swelling and the redness will start to decline within 10 minutes of application of the magnets.
This would be dismissed as "anecdote" by scoffers. But it is repeatable and reliable. Believe what you will. Wait until a major scientific study is done, if you must. But magnets are not expensive, and they're safe. Perhaps, with Gary Null's guidance, you will benefit by performing your own experiments. I do not sell magnets, and have no axe to grind. I simply report that they work, for me, and for others.

Magnet therapy is a true science,
By
This review is from: Healing with Magnets (Paperback)
This is a good book on the subject of magnet therapy. I found out about the decades of research done by Albert Roy Davis and Walter C. Rawls by reading this book. After buying magnets from the Albert Roy Davis Research Laboratory, I can tell that I have had great results using their magnets, and so has everyone else I know of who has used them. Davis is the first scientist in the world to discover that magnetism consists of two separate and distinct energies, each having a different effect.
There is information about other worthy researchers as well. Null has a "Clinicians' Reports" chapter, a "Patients' Experiences with Biomagnetic Therapy" chapter, and a "Peer-reviewed Scientific Studies" chapter that summmarizes dozens of successful studies using static magnets and electromagnets for many different health dilemmas. Hospitals already use pulsed magnetic fields to heal broken bones and have for many years. You'll find many pages on the internet saying that there are few, or no studies at all showing any scientific proof that magnet therapy works. That is about as wrong as wrong can be. The deeper you look, the more obvious this misinformation is. You have to keep in mind the possible reasons for agendas in regards to these statements that completely ignore the facts.

healing information is very good, magnet info not so good,

This book must be reread two or three times before the reader understands who is saying what in the long Clinicians'Reports and in the Issues in Magnet Therapy chapters. Some of those being intrviewed seem to be making things harder than they really are. Readers must be aware that some in this book are only trying to sell there product while others are truely trying to help. I have been learning about magnets since 1954. I work in the industrail magnet field and have been healing with magnets most of my life. Every atom is a magnet. Every magnet must have equal poles. When you use a stronger magnet on a weak magnet you increase both of the poles (they must be equal). this is not in this book. I can agree with all of the healing part of the book and I have seen much more than that. You may ask why are you not in this book?? Iam but only a very small part. Everyone should have this book and use it to help themselfs with healing and balance.

Long Overdue Information On Magnetic Healing,
By esouthern@monmouth.com (Brick, NJ, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Healing with Magnets (Paperback)
I bought the book after listening to one of Gary Null's guests speak on magnets for healing. I thought the book was very informative and offered the kind of information that is not yet in abundance as it should be. I began using magnets on my achellies tendon which sometimes gets very sore after playing basketball. It works. The only suggestion I have for improving the book is to provide some typical parameters on magnetic strength and magnet type for various applications, e.g., for the knee, foot, neck, elbow, etc. Specifics of these parameters were not mentioned in the book and could have been helpful.

I found this book very informative. Null outlines so many practical reasons to give magnetic therapy a chance. I was impressed with the multitude of symptoms that can be treated. Although there are no guarantees, these treatments most certainly are worth a try! I am so impressed with these theories that I am now starting to sell these magnets, so that others may get similar help. Definitely a good book for learning the basics of magnetic therapy. I have already seen results with knee pain, and dry skin problems etc. So the author obviously knows what he is talking about.

I ordered this book used. Before the book arrived, I found out that I could read nearly 50% of this book online for free on the garry null website. It was too late to cancel my order, but I did not regret buying this book. The other 50% of this book which cannot get for free online is stories from different doctors and patients sharing their experiences, and also references with small summaries to different types of research done on magnet therapy. I really enjoyed this book. It is good for people with little or average knowledge about magnet therapy. I give it 3 stars only because I don't think it's on par with the quality of his other books like "Get Healthy Now!" Also, I think this book is a bit dated, but still worth having.

It's got all the basics, how strong the magnets should be, why get a unipolar one (because the North side of the magnet is the one usually used for healing and the South pole side increases swelling, tissue acidity, promotes anxiety etc)
It mentions Davis and Rawls and their studies on magnet so I will be checking their book Magnetism and Its Effects on the Living System

I liked this book so much that I wrote down every disease that was listed in the book and created a file for future reference. Whenever I give the book to a friend, relative or acquaintance this book to read I give them the disease glossary. That way they get even more out of the book! This author knows how to make learning exciting and interesting. Keep on writing Mr. Null. We all need to hear more voices like yours.
