I never knew how much power we have in our thoughts., January 5, 1999

"Healing Ourself" is a book that places responsibility for our own health lovingly, yet securely, within our own laps. I found it utterly amazing how powerful our thoughts are, especially through our fears. Just think what we can do as we turn from fear to love! Think of the vibrant health we can create and/or the opportunity to grow lovingly from a situation of illness.
Kathy helped me to understand something important here. 1) Illness is not necessarily a "punishment" for something done in a previous lifetime; 2) Illness IS a way that our spirit tries to get our attention so that we can learn certain lessons that otherwise are not acknowledged; and 3) Illness is also something that we often create through our fears, our resistances to learning what we came here to learn.
This book has helped me to let go of judgment of others as well as of myself in viewing illness. It has helped me to go inside myself when I am sick to understand clearly what I need to look at, and I keep that in my mind as I heal so that I need not get sick again to "get my attention!"
When I think of this all-loving entity that is endeavoring to guide its physical representation through lessons and into its own heart to learn who it truly is, I see an immense unspeakable amount of unconditional love that has existed throughout eons of time, working through each physical manifestation in the earth and within each of us.
Just think of what we can create if we take Kathy seriously enough and endeavor to create radiant health in our lives by retraining ourselves from thoughts of fear to thoughts of love!
And what a wonderful example we can provide for others in following Kathy's guidance!!! Our actions will say, "Yes, it IS possible -- we've done it!!!"
