I bought this book earlier today and didn't put it down until four hours later. I haven't had the time or energy to cook or prepare food for quite a while, so my eating habits have resulted in such things as metabolic imbalance. Even though I was eating mostly healthy food, I was eating the same things almost daily and, therefore, not getting the range of nutrients needed. For the purpose of getting back in balance, I went looking for books to help clear up some of the confusion I've felt about all the food I see at my grocery store. This book is exactly what I wanted and more. Where some writers might write pages and pages of interesting data that gets lost amongst elaboration, SSJ has provided very useful information in an easy to read/learn way about 50 SuperFoods and the benefits and importance of eating them. As well, there are extremely simple and easy-to-prepare recipes which I'm looking forward to preparing often. This is not a do-this-do-that book and there aren't any meal plans to follow. For my purposes, it's the handiest and most concise nutritional handbook I've found. I used to feel overwhelmed by all the information available and had even consulted a professional nutritionist to make it easier. Because of this book, I'm no longer confused and have a clue about what to do...and am already doing it only several hours later! I'm looking forward to seeing what else SSJ has written on this subject. HIGHLY recommended. Peace.

This is a great book and it was very instrumental in putting me on the path of healthy eating and wellness. I began to change my diet incorporating many of the fruits and vegetables and within 2 months my blood pressure had dropped to normal, I lost 15 pounds and I felt stronger and more energetic than ever. One of the biggest takeaways I got from the book was my introduction to juicing. I now make juicing an everyday part of my healthy lifestyle and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I bought a Champion juicer which was recommended by the book and I'm glad I did. I wish I had known about the wonderful benefits of eating a plant-based diet years ago. I hope this review was helpful.

If you are looking for a book that's 158 pages and then describes the benefits, health nutrients, etc., in 80 pages on fruits, vegetables ,nuts, etc. Then this is a good book for you. She talks about the healing powers of each of the super-foods and describes this in detail. This is a great book for someone who is starting out for the first time in eating healthy and does not know what's good and right to eat without buying an encyclopedia. The author is motivational and accurate in her summations. There are some 42 recipes you can easily make to get you started on a road of healthy eating towards the back of the book. Some good recipes I might add. This book is simple to understand. I try to eat most the super-foods listed in her book on a bi-weekly basis. Recommend.

The Healing Power of NatureFoods is a wonderful book. I had the pleasure of seeing Susan give a motivational presentation to an audience of almost 1,000 people and I saw this book in person and purchased it immediately. Not only did I learn about her favorite superfoods and how to purchase, store, and use them, but I also loved the delicious recipes and the extra holistic health information on how to heal the body, use natural remedies, lose extra weight, live with more gratitude and feel more in control of my body and life. It's part of a 3-book set, but this wonderful book is excellent all by itself. Check out her inspiring website, SusanSmithJones, too. I go to this website daily to get an affirmation and quote to follow. Susan is very motivating and down-to-earth, and everyone in the audience enjoyed her presentation as much as I did.

Recipes for Health Bliss -- It's a full color, beautifully designed recipe book that you will want to give as gifts to friends. Everyone loves this book. With over 150 color photos and easy-to-prepare recipes, I use this book all the time and keep it front and center on my kitchen counter. Besides recipes, the middle of the book also featured other essential tips on how to be vibrantly healthy and happy. It's a winner. Her website, Susan Smith Jones.com, is also filled with lots of free information. I love her monthly newsletter.

I thought I was pretty savvy in choosing the most healthful foods to eat.
This book has taught me so much more. The information is easy to read but gives you a complete
understanding of why this food is a "superfood". I have all of Dr. Susans books and tapes.
She has helped me so much with my life words cannot express. If you love this book, you will
