5.0 out of 5 stars Well organized layout on a sometimes difficult topic, April 16, 2010

This review is from: Healing Power, Voice Activated: Discover Today How Your Words Bless, Heal, and Restore (Hardcover)
Coming from a non-charistmatic background, this was an interesting subject for me to learn about. I had been taught growing up that gifts like healing had ceased after the first century. This never sat well with me because it was unscriptual but, on the other hand, I was not witnessing healing going on around me either.

Travis takes a very methodical yet personable approach to the subject. The book layout covers healing through the different ages and talks about what healing looked like during each age. I found this to be reasonable and line up well with a dispensationalist view. The book also concludes with a lengthy list of healing testimonies, some of which are very compelling.

For me, this book gives me a lot more comfort and ease around the subject of healing. It's no longer a scary unknown but something that I can understand and defend with scripture. I've recommended the book to others at my church who were interested in the subject.
