Book Description

092652416X 978-0926524163 May 1991 1st
is an appropriate description of the world as the UFO abductee experiences it. the event itself destroys preconceptions about the nature of reality and the reliability of one's own senses. Return to the so-called real world often presents a devil's choice between keeping silent or risking the mockery and disbelief of others. In this matter-of-fact but deeply sympa thetic book the authors help abductees deal with their trauma in a life-affirming way and include information that will be useful totherapists in clinical situations.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Calling the contactees experience 'a mini-death' , the authors assert that 'properly handled...it enriches and enhances your life.' After reading the book , most of us would be happy to avoid this growth experience-but for those already enmeshed, this volume could prove invaluable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent in parts, a disappointment in others, December 30, 1999

This review is from: Healing Shattered Reality: Understanding Contactee Trauma (Paperback)
The first part of the book was great - a practical guide in how to come to terms with the close encounter experience. Unfortunately, it is then combined with channeled material, etc. stating who the ET's are, with messages from, well, from wherever... This book would have been best separated into two books, one on the CE4 experience, and one on the authors' theories behind the phenomenon.
