Totally sending this book back. Contains a lot of "see your Dr." which is not what people want when buying this type of book. Also contains a lot of "why" something hurts. Contains very little info on how to heal & many of the explanations are pedestrian & in my opinion, wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Book prescribes a holistic approach for treating asthma, June 27, 2007
By
This review is from: Healing What Hurts: Fast Ways to Get Safe Relief from Aches and Pains (Paperback)
I am adult asthmatic who has many allergies. I reluctantly relied on inhalers over the years but always wished for an effective alternative. My wish was granted when I read Dr. Wong's book. First, his book delineates the chemicals that should be eliminated from the home environment (e.g., toxins in detergents, cleaning fluids, etc.) Next,
the book recommends nutritional supplements to enhance the functioning
of the respiratory system and simultaneously minimize some of the
mucous and congestion. Utilizing this approach has dramatically reduced my coughing at night and I feel better than I have in years. More importantly, it has reduced my dependence on the inhaler. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in finding alternative ways to treat respiratory-related problems.
