Book Description

What if all the “experts” have been giving you the wrong information for more than 50 years? ( excerpts from http://YourNewBodyBlueprint.com )

What if the reality is that losing weight – especially in your midsection – has nothing to do with eating less and exercise more as we have been told? What if all the “health foods” that the food conglomerates have been telling us for years – was actually making us fat?

It may sound like a bold statement, but we¡¦ve been following the advertisements and advice of experts for decades, and where has that gotten us?
Our current situation has reached epidemic proportions:
68% of Americans are now overweight or obese.*
32% of children are now overweight (17% are obese). *
33% of Americans born after 2000 will get diabetes in their lifetime (50% for minorities). *
Men with waists wider than 36.8 inches had a significantly elevated risk for heart attacks.
The average American man¡¦s waist size? A belt- busting 38.8 inches, this is up from 37.5 in
1988. **
Up to one-third of cancers of the colon, kidney or digestive tract are caused by being overweight and inactive. **
Cancer will kill more than 13.2 million people a year by 2030, almost double the number who died from the disease in 2008. *
* Center for Disease Control and Prevention
** World Health Organization.

This book takes a hard look at what is really making us fat and how to safely burn 4-8 lbs per week without exercise.

We know that obesity is taking over, and it’s hitting the economy hard with skyrocketing healthcare
costs that have reached into the billions. It’s clear that most of this is from poor dietary
choices. But it’s more than that.

Being overweight also robs us of something essential if we want to live a truly extraordinary life: energy and confidence. For most of my life I was tired all the time and 25 pounds overweight, and every day I felt disempowered. I followed all the advice out there, ate healthy, went to the gym but was more tired and more overweight than ever before. The good news is that there have been recent scientific breakthroughs that have taught us what ‘really’ burns fat and build muscle. And the science is clear the smaller our waistlines, the more attractive we look and feel… and this directly enhances our confidence.

And the best part of using this program? You can drop 10-100 lbs of unwanted and dangerous fat without exercise, ‘magic pills’, dangerous fad diets or even missing meals. In fact, you really don’t need to exercise to lose weight if you combine the right foods properly at the right times.

Don’t get me wrong, exercise is fun and can enhance weight loss (we even show you the most efficient way to do it in the full course), but long hours in the gym is not what gets the weight off. )

With the Your New Body Blueprint SystemTM, we’ll show you the big mistake we have all made for years (and experts still swear by) that actually overstimulates the production of insulin, the hormone that science proves pushes fat into fat cells.

Bottom line: science says that you can’t get fat if you keep your insulin under control. This guidebook will steer you away from so-called “health foods” that are actually full of hidden sweeteners to turn to fat. Get ready to dig in and lose three to five pounds a week without cravings, a drop in energy or painful exercise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff to know. March 14, 2012
Losing weight has been an uphill struggle for me. I have tried every meal plan and book out there. Most are fads or work short term. What I like about 'Health Food Lies' is that it gave me a simple, actionable plan. It also exposed a lot of what I expected about the food industry - that they are mislabeling foods that are making us gain weight. For example, I learned when it says 'low sugar' that can mean that it is technically low in sugar, but higher in simple carbs which also equal sugar. This all increases insulin and therefore fat storage. Good stuff to know.

Surprisingly insightful...There are more than a few gems of knowledge in here that make the incredibly reasonable cost more than worth it.

Suprising facts about what we are eating that seems like diet food. In a lot of cases it's even worse than the non-diet version!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly interesting and intriguing March 14, 2012

Eating the right foods and doing a lot of exercises is just not enough in many occasions. Actually, as this book outlines, the definition of the right foods is often misleading and only causes the opposite effect. Instead of loosing weight, you gain. This book opened my eyes for the things that I should check for when selecting foods for my diet.
