About the Author

Belleruth Naparstek, LISW, a dedicated psychotherapist for over 30 years, is the creator of the series. A popular author and lecturer, she started out by making ad hoc tapes for her clients at her kitchen table. They took on a life of their own, and in 1990, she formed a business partnership with George Klein to produce and distribute them.

I bought this cd about three weeks ago and for three weeks I have listened to this cd at least twice a day, everyday. Belleruth Naparstek is phenom. I wouldn't be surprised if she dealt with an infertility diagnosis herself because all the words and phrases she used were spot on. And this isn't just for women/couples going through IVF, it's also for people who are going through the process of adoption.

My husband even listens to it at night with me while we are trying to fall asleep. And any woman/couple who has gone through or is trying to deal with an infertility diagnosis knows just how sacred falling asleep easily is.

Ms. Naparestek's voice is so soothing, I feel so comforted and balanced. I realize that all the feelings I have are perfectly normal and that they pass. But mostly, that I can control my emotions and feelings just by staying in the moment and breathing. The background music is extremely relaxing too.

I will definetly be buying more of her cd's.

I can go on for days about this cd, but I think you get the point. In a nutshell, if you've been trying to deal with the horrible roller coaster ride of infertility, this cd is an asset.

My husband and I went through our first IVF proceedure after years of infertility and recurrent miscarriages. After the transer I was given this set and it helped me immensly, I think it's the reason I'm now carrying twins! The music and her voice are instantly calming and puts you in a trance-like state of peace.

This would be a great CD if the content was not so general. It's trying to address the needs of moms who are hopeful about being able to conceive on their own and moms who are looking to adopt. It would have been great if these needs were separated into two different CDs. Since I'm still hopeful I can conceive on my own, I found the adoption suggestions very distracting. It was hard to relax and concentrate on my intent after those came up. I would imagine someone trying to adopt would find the other content distracting as well.
